Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
At the bottom of the member module, there is a link to view all members. This link lists all of the members and defaults to all of the members that are "online." If you change it, to alphabetical, it will list everyone alphabetical.
Now, when I try to search, typing the name in the provided text box and hit search, it resets and only searches people online. How do I have it search everyone? Or do I need to change the link in the module. How do I do that?
Your issue was caused by "Member Directory" menu item from Main menu. It gave menu item ID to all search attepts thus page with all members was displayed.
I disabled it and now you could search all members.
You should move that menu item to JomSocial toolbar and in main menu create a menu item that will link to it (if you want to have such a link in main menu). In Main menu should be a menu item alias and link to menu item in JomSocial toolbar.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
