We are also adding the option to stack modules as well as tab them this will be in the next minor release shortly

I am trying to not have tabbed modules show up on community, I do not see an option that shows top or bottom positions, or the possibility to add one.

At the moment the positions in the main containers on jomsocial 4 are all tabbed, but in the next minor release which should be early next week you will have the option of tabbed or stacked modules with many more positions. It probably best to wait for this as opposed to hacking code for only a matter of days
