JS4 Community Toolbar Global Notifications not working

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Login as a regular user
Click on Global Notications icon in community toolbar

RESULT:
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT:
open the global notifications window.

OCCURS ON:
Joomla 3.4 & JomSocial 4.0

TEMPLATE:
Socialize 1.2.9

COMMUNITY TOOLBAR:
1.2.9

OPERATING SYSTEM:
Windows 7, Windows 8.1

I asked developer to take a look at it.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Also, is it possible to have the Community Toolbar 2.0 work with Socialize 1.2.9? It looks a lot better.

I'm afraid not. Socialize 2 was rebuild from scratch and now it uses Bootstrap 3. So is Toolbar module...
I'll update you tomorrow about those 1.2.9 issues... and how to fix them.
But be prepared to upgrade Socialize as 1.29 become outdated when 2 will be released. We're waiting for Merav's final decision.

Eeesh. I'm actually concerned with that as it appears to me that the Bootstrap 3 will break my components and modules. Will it be backwards compatible?

I talked with our developers. I'm sorry but there will be no fix for Socialize 1.2.9. You'll need to upgrade to Socialize 2.
It will be released this week...
If you'll have any compatibility issue - we'll try to fix them.. alone or cooperating with certain extension developers.

Bootstrap 2.3.2 is just getting old...

Will there be an RC2 before a 2.0 stable is released? I can install a clean copy of the latest RC before the the stable is released so that you test everything out and work out the major stuff if you'd like. I don't mind taking down my site for a day or two to make this happen.

Let me know if your team would like to schedule this and I can provide a list of components and modules as well (There won't be that many).

No, we'll release Socialize 2 this week. It will be announced on our blog, so please stay tunned.
And you'll need to uninstall older version and install new one.
Some files was changed other become obsolete... so to avoid any issues, we recommend to uninstall 1.2.9 first.
