Hide application but still keep it active

JomSocial Expired

I've just upgraded to JS4 and it's great thanks :)

I have created an app which I do not want displayed in a tab, instead at the very top of the profile just under the cover photo. So what I have done is override the com_community/layouts/profile/base.php and added the application like this:

<?php
$appplugin = CAppPlugins::getInstance();
$app = $appplugin->getPlugin('player');
$jinput = JFactory::getApplication()->input;
$userid = $jinput->get('userid', 0, 'INT');
$rendered_app = $appplugin->renderPlugin($app, $userid);
?>

<div class="joms-body">
    <?php echo $rendered_app->data; ?>
</div>

This works perfectly, apart from the fact the app is still displayed as a tab. This is only a big issue because I am displaying an audio player - which sometimes autoplays - so it will play twice.

If I disable the app in the plugins then it causes an error because renderPlugin doesn't get the plugin. Is there a way to disable it in the tab but still allow me to display it on the top of the profile?

Hi.

I'm sorry but at the moment customization request have lowest priority as many users are posting on forum and require support.
So you'll have to customize it by yourself or ask professional developer for help.
I'm sorry but we just can't effort to support customizations at the moment...
Maybe a bit later when everything settles down ;)
