"Receive System Emails" set to no

Hello,

I noticed that all of my members have the "Receive System Emails" set to NO. Is this the default and does this mean that I won't be able to mass email them?

If it is the default, how do I change it to "Yes"?

That is default bahavior from Joomla, I suggest you post this issue on joomla forum, since this is not related with Jomsocial.
