Hi, Manuela.
You issue is caused by menu misconfiguration. You set "Il tuo profilo' in "Community" menu for registered only and this is LOWEST menu item ID related with JomSocial. Joomla will use it for most JomSocial pages. So when users try to register, they are redirected to page with item ID that is restricted for registered only... that's why instead of registration form they get login form.
This is common mistake when building JomSocial.
You should have ONLY ONE JomSocial frontpage menu item outside JomSocial toolbar (it could be in menu that is nowhere displayed). So menu item ID of this item will be used for every JomSocial page.
If you want to create links to JomSocial pages you should use menu aliases instead of creating (in a fact duplicating, because such a link already exist in JomSocial toolbar) new menu items that link directly.
So your solution will be:
- change privacy restriction for that menu item to PUBLIC
- or (recommended) change all menu items in "Community" menu to menu aliases. Then lowest menu item ID related with JomSocial should be 226 (link in left menu).
Also I noticed that menu items are locked in your Joomla!. It's because you didn't close them properly by "Save & Close" or "Close". Joomla! locks them in that case as it "thinks" that you - or someone - edit them and to avoid edition conflicts.
You may unlock them all at once in Backend -> System -> Maintenance - > Unlock
Also I see that you have "en" in your URL but you have only Italian. It's caused by "System - Language Filter" plugin. If you plan to have site in only one language, just keep it disabled.
Hi, Manuela.
Your mistakes are just alesson for future. Don't be scared. You're doing really well, really.
Your mistakes aren't so bad, you haven't damaged anything. This is just a misconfiguration.
This is just new step in learning Joomla! Just keep it that way ;)
If you're not sure how to move on - just open a thread forum and assign me into it (below your posts should be dropdown fields - you could assign me there.
Try to do change for menu items in "Community" menu. You should manage it ;) More confidence to yourself ;)
So, I've cancelled "Il tuo profilo'' and now my registration form it seems it's okay, but the field 'date of birth' does,t work. what can I do?
I've unlocked menu items all at once in Backend -> System -> Maintenance - > Unlock (please verify i'done it well)
Hi, mauela.
Well, disabling those menu items is - as we say in Poland: sweeping litter under the carpet :) You should rather try to change them into menu aliases. You see, you wanted to have those links in purpose - you still can have it and didn't change your plan/design.
Ah, so you prepared your site into multilingual mode... then please, read this documentation, I created it not long ago and should help you to avoid mistakes:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Complet...in_multilingual_mode
No problem, I prefer the carpet because I don't need the other menu items :D
What about the date field in the registration form that doesn't work? Would you help me? :)
PS
thank you for the documentation for multilingual mode i'll read it :)
Hi, Manuela.
Your second issue is related with bug in date library (this will be fixed in up coming JomSocial 4.0) that doesn't allow to use custom date format. I removed it from field configuration. Please, check if it works now ;)
