Slow backend (administrator)

I've found that plugin Jomsocial Update was causing long delays on my back end. It is now disabled and site speed is back to normal.

Please advise,

Just keep it disabled. This plugin will be deprecated and no longer needed.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal,

I see. Even with it disabled, please note that Jomsocial continues to be slow in the backend. Other components are now fine. Going into "Configuration"for example, is extremely slow.

I've checked your site and noticed that that long loading time is caused by PayPlans extension: img.ctrlv.in/img/15/01/26/54c600cd05eaf.png

Above printscreen was made in JomSocial dashboard.

Please, contact with PayPlans developers.

Hello Michal,
I was actually (for other reasons) migrating from PayPlans to another extension.

PayPlans has been uninstalled and the problem Accessing Jomsocial in the backend remains almost the same, I only see a small improvement in speed.

I am also getting an error when trying to acces items under

Attachment errorJomsocial_012815.pdf not found


the "Configuration" menu: String could not be parsed as XML

Please, let's focus on one issue at the time.
I could see that Application: afterDispatch is ridiculously high: 10588.9 ms / 10829.9 ms Memory: 21.358 MB
So could you try:

- do a test copy of your site and upgrade it to most recent version of JomSocial 3.2.1.5
- do exact copy of your site on localhost (using XAMPP)
- try to increase server settings to (if possible):

memory_limit: 1024M
max_input_time: 300
post_max_size: 4096M

And please share results here.

Hi Michal,

This is really weird...
I have 2 hosting servers, one of them just for testing. I've replicated my site to the other instance and it is working perfectly even it being an exact copy of the original. What could be wrong here?

Are the hosting servers also exact the same?
Could you provide me credentials to test site on another server?
(Just edit your first post and add them to "Test/Development site" fields.
