onUserAfterSave does not follow logic flow

Hi
I have a user plugin that wants to capture JomSocial custom profile fields values and do some manipulation with it. The problem is, I can only get the fields values if it's an existing user. If it's a new user, $user->getInfo('FIELD_CODE') returns null because the custom fields values have not been added to the database table when the onUserAfterSave is triggered. However, after submitting the first step of the form, I noticed the values are indeed populated. I did some debugging and realized that onUserAfterSave is triggered before the fields values are added, which makes no sense to me. Where can I make it such that onUserAfterSave is triggered after fields values are added?

I should add that JomSocial version is 3.1.0.4 Pro

maybe can have a clue with your issue.

FYI: 3.2.1.5 is a jomsocial latest version
