HI, Anais.
Yes, that's correct. You assigned modules to position: js_side_frontpage. This is JomSocial built-in module position and it's present only on FRONTPAGE of JomSocial (just like module position name says). It means that module displayed to that position will be displayed ONLY on certain pages - in this case on frontpage ONLY.
"Les Girls" menu link points to "All members" page that doesn't contain that module position - so will be not displayed.
Built-in positions are not global positions but coded in certain JomSocial template files. Here is full list of built-in positions:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Built-in_Module_Positions
I am sorry but i dont get it. All my others modules point to "Jo front side page" and it working perfectly well.
My point is: my module was perfectly fine until this ticket
www.jomsocial.com/forum/profile-universa...an-we-add-some-field
So from my point of view, you made some changes which deleted my modules and i am not very confortable with your answer right now...
So i reopen the ticket until we find a solution.
Hi, Anais.
I removed NO code from your file. And I repeat "js_side_frontpage" module is available ONLY on frontpage - as you can read in documentation.
You can do a simple test:
Change name of this file:
ROOT/templates/shape5_vertex/html/com_community/people.browse.php to people.browse.php-old. This will disable override file and system will load default file from core - so file without my hack. You'll see that this will not bring back modules to that page when module is assigned to js_side_frontpage.
The only explanation is that you (or someone else) modified this file (without override) and just added "js_side_frontpage" module position inside. But original file doesn't contain that position.
Conclusion is: any module position can be created in template file you currently use by adding this code:
<?php $this->renderModules('my_module_position'); ?>
"my_module_position" can by changed to any other name (without spaces).
Just to complete my answer: the module is visible at the bottom and not on the side. So i really dont get it. My website is launched and it is a core functionnality, so it is really annoying :( Can you please have quickly a look?
Hi, Anais.
It's because that template doesn't have sidebar like frontpage or profile view. That's why I said that's impossible that previously you had module assigned "js_side_frontpage" and displayed on members list in sidebar position... simply because such a position doesn't exist there and template doesn't have sidebar.
You pasted the code so module appears but if you want to have it in sidebar you'll need to rebuild whole structure of that file: divide it into two main containers span8 and span4, create additional container sidebar and blace that code there.
So you see yourself that you couldn't have module in that position before as it needs proper structure to display at sidebar... and original file lack this structure. You can compare your current overrided file with original one from package.
That what you want to achieve is just requesting a customization...
