after adding a new video or creating a new event the email notifications are not delivered anymore. In the monitor they were stated as ok but the recipients do not get the emails.
Another problem is, that some recipients are stated as blocked.
Emails are sent only for events and videos added in group, not in whole community.
Please, check if this feature works for groups.
If email is marked as blocked it means that certain recipient blocked that kind of emails in his/her profile privacy settings.

I don't get an eMail although I am the group adiminstrator. In the mail queue there is the message: COM_COMMUNITY_GROUPS_EMAIL_NEW_MEMBER_JOINED_SUBJECT
As I said, blocked emails are marked so because users opt-out options for email preferences in their profiles.
You can re-set their settings by opting in all checkbox in JomSocial -> Configuration -> privacy and then clicking button below all settings: Reset existing user's notification settings.

No, user doesn't get notification or emails about own activity... oh, there will be a mess if so :) Imagine you receive 30 notifications and 15 are yours :D
