JomSocial Expired

I need my service provider profiles viewable to the public. It WAS viewable to the public before upgrading to the latest JomSocial., 3.2.1.1
Attached are two screenshots, admin panel settings and screenshot of restricted access to the profile when not logged in (AKA public)

Hi, Robert.

Your issue apply to JomSocial Profile Type extension - not JomSocial.
Please contact with JomSocial Profile Type developers.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

are you saying that because my screenshot was of a jspt area? or because it is a fact? Because i only posted the screenshot to prove that this "area" had been configured correctly.

Thanks,

Hello,
So I had ReadyBytes read the forum, they said "unhook the component if the problem persists it is not related to our plugin. I unhooked it, and sure enough the problem persists.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Hi, Robert.

It is issue within JSPT. Take a look:

1. You set a certain profile type to have Default Profile Privacy to "Public"
2. You set also Privacy Controller: "Admin"
3. You set in JomSocial a default privacy for profiles as "Members"
4. Now, when user registers (or if you decide to reset existing user settings) user has settings taken from JomSocial -> profile viewable for Members only.
5. If you wan to change user profile settings you need to log in as this user and change it.
6. But then you can't as dropdowns are not visible: prntscr.com/47rwfb
7. So user has default JomSocial setting and you can't change that.
8. But when you disable JSPT plugins: prntscr.com/47rwn8
9. Dropdowns appear again: prntscr.com/47rwv6
10. Now you can change profile privacy settings and profile will be viewable.

I rolled back any changes I've made to show you this - try it yourself.

So this seems to be JSPT misconfiguration or an issue.

EDIT:

If you change global settings for privacy and want change to affect ALL users - you need to click on "Reset existing user's privacy." and wait till a small notice is displayed.

If I have to change privacy policy per user then this website is a fail.

So I reset all users privacy and it now works.
Amazing I reset it from JomSocial, yet it i not a JomSocial issue.
