How to remove activity stream module from the front page?
Hi
How to remove activity stream module from the front page? I would like to have only login form on my registration page. Right now, activity stream module displays automatically, despite that I have turned it off.
Well, you can't disable it in backend... just hide it for guests (Backend -> Components -> JomScoial _> Configuration -> Layout ->
Frontpage Activity Stream -> Members Only)... and it's not a module but a component feature.
If you want to remove it completely, you'll need to edit this file:
Copy it to ROOT/templates/your-template/html/com_community (if you don't have "html" or "com_community" folders, feel free to create them)
And remove everything from lines 65 to 120. Also lines 48, 49 and 18 to 46.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
You can't remove it as you hold JomSocial Standard license. Only in JomSocial PRO it's gone or could be removed.
If you remove, your support subscription will be void till you roll back removal.

Ok, but it's displays over the footer in my template, it looks strange - almost in the middle of the page ;/ I would like to move it to the bottom of the template. How can I do that?
It's because it displayed in component area along with other JomSocial content.
You can't do anything about it... unless you buy PRO license...
