Remove/add buttons to the postbox

Being an IT engineering intern at Galatasaray University, I have to design some plugins to fit the needs of the teachers there.
(I put the actual site on Domain information, which is irrevelant because we are testing my plugins on localhost.)

One of this plugin tends to modify the existent postbox to add features to it.
The problem is, I cannot add buttons nor remove them from the postbox, as I need access to the joms-postbox php class

Do you know how to modify this file or how to proceed to remove/add buttons to the postbox ?

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your consideration,

Hi.

It's in this file: ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/status.form.php line 254.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi,

I have another questions concerning the toolbox :
I would like to know how to design custom data-tabs (i.e. where to find it in the code and modify it to implement features)

Here is an explanation : one of my plugin uses a embedded sound player, and I would like to implement something where the user puts an URL + some status text, and once posted it becomes text + embedded sound player (a little bit like your video data-tab does)

I already coded the service which does URL -> embedded sound player with my sound, I just need to add my custom data-tab.

Another thing is how to automatically put generated text into the status text area ? ( Here is an example using the later service : user sends a recorded sound and immediately posts it, I want the status message to be something like 'I sent a new sound !' )

Thank you for your consideration,

Hi.

Those are strict developer questions and are out of scope of technical support.
You need to hold jomSocial Developer subscriptions or be a JomSocial partner to obtain developers support.
