JomSocial Active

Hello,

i use jomsocial and payplans modules. when I change the password rules in the joomla user settings page it does not apply on the front-office registration page.

for instance I set the password length to 8 in the settings but in the front office the limit is 6.

thanks for your help,
Didier

Hi, Didier.

This is a valid bug - I was able to replicate it.
I reported it to our developers.
I'll update you with fix.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi, Dider.

Here is fix. Make safe copies of those files:

components/com_community/assets/validate-1.5.js
components/com_community/assets/validate-1.5.min.js
components/com_community/controllers/register.php
components/com_community/jax.community.php
language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini

Download patch file, unzip it and upload to main Joomla! folder.

No, I don't remember that I changed anything in your system.
But to be sure:

- open new thread
- describe with details your issue
- link forum threads that you think could be related (if any issue you reported and we provided support)

Remember to provide FTP and PHPmyAdmin access.
