Default public privacy on activity streams from third party applications

I have setup the default user privacy in Configuration > Privacy to 'Friends'.
Still all messaging streams incoming from other applications show up as 'Public'.
Is there any configuration that I have not changed yet? I want all these messages showing by default as either 'Self' or 'Friends'

Hi Assocyate,

I suggest you contact to the 3rd party developer and check again the code, and I think they didnt use the access field so the default will be set as public.

Please you contact them and give this link documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Stream_API_v2 and make sure they use this code $act->access for set the privacy

thank you

Thanks for the link.
I found pretty common that privacy is not setup. So far I have used guru, jevents, xtdir, community surveys and polls and they all seems to display as public...

Sorry for a late response.
Jevents access is only for registered members. Guru curses are also only available to registered users.
This is only a testing site where we are trying to find the optimized setup for only registered members via membership jpayplan component.
I have also changed the access level from public to registered on the corresponding activity streams plugins. All new messages still arrive by default as public. The ideal level for us on new messages should be 'Only Me'.
