$mainframe->getTemplate() gets called too early (or not correctly)
I just updated to the latest version of Jomsocial, and now I have the problem, that the Template Style that is assigned to my Homepage is not being loaded anymore, but the Default Tempalte Style is being loaded instead.
I took a look into the code, and I think I figured out the problem:
The problem is, that the CTemplateHelper::getOverrideTemplatePath() method is calling the JApplicationSite::getTemplate() method before the Joomla CMS has parsed the Site Route.
The JRouterSite::parseSefRoute() method is responsible for setting the active menu item to the site menu. However this method is not triggered until later in the dispatching process later.
When CTemplateHelper::getOverrideTemplatePath() triggers the JApplicationSite::getTemplate() method, this Route is not parsed yet, resulting in the fact, that the active menu item is not set yet. This in turn leads to the problem, that the template style is not being loaded.
In my opinion this bug is critical. I can't role back the update, since Joomla 3.3 introduced the Session problem to JomSocial, so I need to fix this issue manually now.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
