JomSocial Expired

I have just purchased jomsocial pro and have not yet installed it. But am not sure if I purchased in haste, as it does not work with the joomla acl, so akeeba sub and sobipro 1.1, with member levels will not work?

Trying to get my head wrapped around some way to use akeeba Sub for registration (can't find any that include a gateway we need), and JS for their profile and SP entries. Otherwise I may have to return it.

So my question is how separated would the two systems be?

1- Is there no way for a JS member to add a joomla article?

2 - XTDir for sobipro integrates SP & jomsocial.
- Would SP ACL work, if sobipro member levels are used?
- When logged into jomsocial would a user be able to view and edit their listings?

3 - Could a user register through jomsocial then click a link to akeeba to open a 'payment account' register and make a payment?

4 - If someone registered through akkeba sub, or joomla would anything happen in jomsocial?

5 - Once they pay through AkSub, could they be redirected to add their profile

6 - Could somethings as easy as a simple checkout system be used for payment and setting member levels in jomsocial?

Sorry about all the questions, but no use wasting time if it will not work for us.

Hi, Colin.

First of all: JomSocial users are Joomla! users too. They have (must have!) valid account in Joomla! so even if JomSocial doesn't support Joomla! ACL users are subject of ACL in other extensions.

1. Yes, there is. Just set a proper ACL rights for group that they belong to (you'll need to create such a group and set it as a default for registration)

2. You should ask XTDir for sobipro developers

3. I think that this could be even done during registration process. but again - ask akeeba sub developers

4. Yes. In all cases Joomla! user account will be created. JomSocial will import it the same time. User will need to fill his/hers profile.

5. Again, ask ask akeeba sub developers

6. Members levels = Members profiles. Many users manage to integrate checkout system with JomSocial. So I think you''ll find anwser to that in our Community or in Community Support section of our forum: www.jomsocial.com/forum/tips-tricks

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
