Hi,
Joomla : v3.2.3
JomSocial:v3.2.0.1
Socialize:v1.2.7
Calendar is already translated in fr-FR.com_community.ini.
Got the right French calendar pop-up during the registration process.
Front-end login as Julien then go to advance search, select date field search.
English version of the calendar pop-up instead of the French one as in the registration screen.
Is there another file to translate ? can't find it.
Cheers,
L
Hi.
Yes, they are hardcoded.
Edit this file: ROOT/components/com_community/assets/jqueryui/datepicker/js/jquery-ui-1.9.2.custom.js
(WARNING! Core file hack! Please make a safe copy before editing it. Also this file will be overwritten during upgrade, please make safe copy of customized file too).
Hi,
also same issue with Advance search on country, is it also hardcoded ?
Cheers,
L
Hi.
You mean country list uses English names of countries?
No, Countries list is located in file: ROOT/languages/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.country.ini
So it can be translated. Just copy that file to fr-FR folder, change name and translate names.
Hi,
it has been already done.
It works fine in the registration process.
Not in the advance search on country !
Country list is in English.
Have a look on site login as Julien/pass described below same as JSupport
Cheers,

Hi.
This one is tricky.
You'll need to edit your database via PhpmyAdmin. You'll find it in table: _community_fields. Look for record with value "Country" in name column.
Hi,
after checking, all the countries in this table are in English. Shouldn't they be, in my case, in French ?
Does it mean we need again to translate them, as it was already done in the language files ?
Cheers,
L
Hi.
No. It's a bit complicated.
There is file called countries.xml and contains constant for countries. When country field is created country names are taken to db via this file.
Country field is a default one so it was created when only English language file was present... so English name was taken to db.
Just paste to that field in db translated names and that solves it.
Hi,
let me check if I've understood what you are saying:
I have to set the translated countries in the _community_field table, am i right ?
Cheers,
L
Hi.
1. Login to your database via PhpMyAdmin
2. Look for table: _community_fields and enter it
3. Look for record that has value "Country" in "name" column and edit it
4. Paste list of translated countries in "options" cell
Hi,
thanks a lot.
Done the changes as you said.
It works fine.
Cheers,
L
