Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
I am using the 'Hello Me' module. It works fine but there is a slight annoying situation where If I am reading an article on the site and I login to edit that article I am redirected to my Jomsocial Profile instead of the previous page.
Is there a way to se the Hello Me module to redirect to previously viewed page?
Hello Me module does not redirect you. it uses settings from JomSocial and there you set that user should be redirected to profile after login and to Frontpage after logout (or those are default settings in Jomsocial -> Configuration -> Site (top right).
So logging with hello me module will always redirect you and you just can change landing page. You'll not stay on current page.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Is there any code that will change the hello me login to go back to the previously viewed page?
Or do I have to use a different login module from Joomla?
All login modules integrated with JomSocial will work the same way.
You could try default Joomla! login module.
