HI all,

Hi want to switch modules. For instance, you have the regular modules on the right, profile modules in the middle and the streawm on the left. I want the stream in the middle and the profile modules on the left. Can i change those positions? And yes.. i have read the this page: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Built-in_Module_Positions But can you tell me how to do that best?

Thanks!

Hi, lafemme.

Before you start - read this: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Customizing_Template and use template override feature.

You can achieve what you want by editing this file:

ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/profile.index.php

Find this <div class="span4"> (around line 74) and mark it to closing tag in line 100. Cut it.
Then paste it above <div class="span8"> in line 42.

After that columns will be switched and you'll need only to stale left column a bit.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
