Dating search module does not show added gender options

I run a dating type site with Jomsocial and really need to have a "couple" option for gender. I have added it as an option for the gender field in the backend but I notice that the dating search module does not list any other fields besides Male/Female even though I have added Couple.

How can I make the added gender field show up in the dating module for search?
