It seems that Facebook's login changed on facebook's part.

A warning message is shown when trying to login. (the left login)
I added a new login made on FB and that works. It needs an api to Joomla to set joomla to logged in.

On FB Developers this message is shown: All apps are being upgraded to Graph API v2.0 or above. Learn more.

The nice thing about the new button is that you can see after login who of your FB friends are on your site also!

This is not a customer issue nor a 3rd party issue.

Facebook changed their software. The JS plugin needs to be updated to this new standard!
As you can see lot's of users have this issue!

after the code changed, please make sure you refresh the page first or clear joomla cache before click FB button again.

its really simple. you only need copy & paste the code from this post:

as you can see I put // to comment out the code, so that code for status_update and publish_stream will be disabled
