FB-connect does not work after update to v4.03

Hi Albertus,
The credentials which i have provided are from the Joomla Admin. Unfortunately i can not provide the credentials of the CPanel. That is because I cannot change them and the hosting provider allows only one user.

Can you access the logs by FTP? Or do you know a joomla plugin which can help us with the logs you need?

please asking your server support about how to find that server error log. that depend with server configuration. I need to know what error detail.
server log not same with joomla log. becuase the error message said "internal server error"

I'm trying to provide you access to the logs. The process and communication with SP is going slow. Can we mean while consider alleviative options? Maybe resetting the file permissions? Do you think that might help? If so, what are the recommended file and folder permissions for JS?

please try resetting the file permissions. the folder permission always standard, 755.
but from error log detail we can know what the problem is.

I just run the installation and checked the error log. this is what i found. (this is the only line in the error log)

FYI: yesterday we just released 4.0.6, could you please upgrade it? FB issues has been fixed at that version.

Hi Albertus,
I just realised that the port number is not correct. Try again but not without the port numbers. Sorry for that. I also changed the password.

I tried today again. The problem is that when select JomSocial at the backend i automatically het forward to the installation screen on the previous version. So i cannot select a different version. In addition, i find this kind of strange choice. Because if something goes wrong with the installation, the JS backend will remain unaccessable until the installation is finiashed.

Deleted the dummy ini and restarted the installation with the new version of JS. However, the installation gets stuck at the same step.

This is the error log:

try to increase max_execution_time to 3000 from 300
if still error, please have a look at server error log. you can asking to your server support about that internal server error.

That is not possible. The server settings after fixed.


But than again: why has this never happened before? What has changed during the last release?

I need you to login administrator page and execute jomsocial. after stuck at registration process.
you can contact your server support about how to get error detail about internal server error



from that error detail, we can know which code made that error. please, I need to know the error detail to tackle this issue.

If you see this page "Internal server Error" (which sometimes just seems to happen) you just need to refresh the screen to work.

coming back to the error logs. I tried to find the source of the error. The only thing which we can see is that we get a time out with that script. Nothing more specific.
