I have set up Facebook Connect and create the app to obtain the facebook api and secret key required by jomsocial using the facebook developer:

1. When login for the first time, the facebook login ask to submit the review (user_status, read_stream,user_birthday,user_about_me,user_website,user_education_history and use_history) before proceeding.

2. I've already follow the steps on how to submit and review the submission requested as per jomsocial tutorial on facebook connect setup.

3. Could not submit until all request are added notes, logo requirement, 4 snapshots of application and several others.

4. After completing the process, I'm able to submit the request.

5. Now the problem is after nearly one whole day, facebook rejected my submission due to lack of info on each of user_status, read_stream,user_birthday,user_about_me,user_website,user_education_history and use_history.

6. Could you guide and provide us with the more comprehensive notes to be added on each of this submissions? I've only need the jomsocial frontpage on my site. (under menu Community / Komuniti)

Hi, Jamal.

Facebook changes his API and we can't do anything about it. We all need to follow their rules.
I'm not sure what more details you need as notice from Facebook states clear enough: "Please submit detailed explanation of why app needs this permission". It's up to you to explain Facebook staff why your app need it. Also they provided more detailed instructions.

Please contact with Facebook regarding this issue as this is not JomSocial issue - your submission just was rejected.

Sorry about bothering you guys. I'm just a newbie and this answer does not help at all. All I wanted was a guide or "suggestion" on what to add to each of the submission notes required. If this the case then I'll just have to remove facebook connect and get on normal ways of connecting to jomsocial.

It's really up to you how you will explain why app needs this. This is checked by Facebook staff so there is no one way to explain this or ready-made answer. Ask by the source - write to Facebook staff what explanation they expect.

Because this is your website it is difficult for us to answer how you intended to use the fields but I would assume that it will be used for social information sharing. Any further details that facebook is asking need to be addressed to facebook. Jomsocial provide the ability to transfer the information. Whether or not facebook allow it in your situation is outside the scope of our product

At last, received permission approval from facebook :) (after 2 failed submission!).
Very important to explain in detail the application,web, step by step instruction and provide many screenshots pertaining to your website.
