Facebook Connect not authorizing user.

I have an issue while trying to login using the facebook connect feature. Previously, there was an error where FBC wasn't working at all - applied the recent updates as suggested in the forum and its now creating the users as it should. However, the plugin is not authorizing the users on sign up or while logging on, despite the created accounts being authorized and approved in Joomla.

This is the error provided:
You do not have permission to view this resource. Please contact the Site Administrator.

Note: the Joomla user object is empty after login/sign up attempts.


Software Versions:

  • Joomla 3.2.3.
  • Community 3.2.0.4

Note: This is not a live site, but the situation is very time sensitive.
