FB connect - modal popup freezes after successful authentication

Hi,
current members cannot complete the process of logging in using FB connect - the modal popup freezes after they have been authenticated by FB.
New members cannot register.
I have tried to find the javascript conflict, to no avail.
Please help.

I can't login to your backend.
Please edit your first post and check login details.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

You have js conflict. Please make a safe copy first and:

- please switch template to default Joomla! template and disable all plugins except:

Authentication - Joomla
Azrul System Mambot For Joomla
User - Joomla!

did that but the problem still perseveres... What could be the issue if not the plugins?

If you disabled all plugins... try to do the same with extensions.
If issue still persist, please, return to forum and give me a sign - remember to grant access to site where you disabled extensions and plugins.

I ended up reinstalling and upgrading the whole system and everything is fine now.
