Facebook connect returns a fault (can't establish your FB login)

Setup FB connect.

Seeing the blue FB connect button.

When trying to login via FB connect, received popup (with my FB avatar) stating that friends and other information will be used from FB.

Click OK

New popup (again with Avatar) stating that J social will place messages on my behelf on FB.

click OK

New popup (no avatar) stating "the system could not establish your FB Login, try again"

New trial.... only last popup appears.

Please help

When I try to login via Facebook I get:

App Not Setup: The developers of this app have not set up this app properly for Facebook Login.


It seems that you not set properly your app in Facebook and thus connection could be established.
Did you set it up accordingly with this tutorial: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Setting_up_Facebook_Connect


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hello Michal,

Checked it again according to the instructions in your Wiki. It seems to be OK though the lay out of the examples is different. I might interpret the example and the FB lay out wrong.

Thanks Michal for your prompt answers, However I checked the whole procedure thoroughly according to you last reply and it is still not working (returning the same failure).

I am the end of my means, cI will send you my FB login. Please check if you canb find some wrong entry.

On FB developpers section the App shows a green dot which means the app is Live and available to all users....

It means you quit with FB integration?

Hello Michal,

Amazing, because it still refuses to accept the login from myself, returning the same message. But I checked and you are registered so it seems to work fine from other IP's.
Anyway I will ask some friends tot register via Facebook and see how that goes.
