Hi,
We use JFBConnect for Social login to the site. Everything works fine but:
1) We seem to have two different login screens:
a)
www.opgroeigids.nl/community
b)
www.opgroeigids.nl/community/inbox/read?msgid=63
Why is that
2) We as well as our user receives two confirmation emails when they have registered on the site. The emails are exact duplicates, it is as if the process happens twice. Please help...
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi, Andrew Gous.
1.
a)
www.opgroeigids.nl/community
Here are facebook login buttons from JFBConnect
b)
www.opgroeigids.nl/community/inbox/read?msgid=63
And here from JomSocial (if you remove Facebook API Configuration data it will disappear)
For some reason JFBConnect does not replace buttons in all login forms. Please ask JFBConnect developer if it is expected.
2. Try to disable JFBConnect -> Configuration -> User -> Send New User Email -> No
Hi Michal,
With regards to your last answer to me, I checked it with Alex from SourceCoast (JFBConnect developers) and this was Alex's reply:
That, unfortunately, looks to be an issue with JomSocial. In their blockUnregistered function (which is called when a user tries to access protected content), they aren't doing the same check for JFBConnect like they do in other areas of the site. I'd have to recommend contacting them with this information and letting them know that you need a fix. I can probably get you the right code as well, but it wouldn't last past an upgrade from them.. so it's best to (as a user of theirs) request a fix.
That function is in their /controllers/controller.php file. It should use the same code like they are doing in their /views/frontpage/view.html.php file.
I hope that helps get a solution from them. We don't have have direct control over what buttons are shown on that page, we rely on JomSocial to load our buttons.
Can you please escalate and get back to me asap?
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi, Andrew Gous.
Ok, I'll pass the case to our developers to check it.
Hi, Andrew Gous.
I passed your case to developers - some cases need more time to be resolved.
We're sorry for any inconvenience.
Hi,
Just came across another popup registration window, which also has issues with not showing JFBConnect integration. Same as the other in this post.
see screenshot.
I got this when I went to a Group, from an invitation which I received. The user is NOT yet a member of the site, and received an invite to join the Group.
At the Group page the user gets a message that they need to become a Member first, so the user clicks on the Button to Join the Group.
This is when the popup login box appears...
It is definitely related in my view.
Hi,
Ok this is bug from us, actually we not respected the JBC configuration in all login pages, currently just on jomsocial guest page only which respected the FBC.
I already added this issue to our buglist.
thank you
Hi,
I have a DEV site as well. Can I provide you with it so that our LIVE site is not affected as the Community is completely offline currently... I will add the DEV site details.
Apologies, I probably should've added this to the original ticket. However, I thought that there might have been a solution which I could've applied...
Please enable our Community on the Live site again until we have a solution for this issue. If you do have a solution and the site will not be affected for much longer then please apply fix.
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
