Hi,
I am not sure what vent wrong, but it seems I can't get into the back end of my site, I have tried everything possible but seems to be lost without a solution. and also my test users can't access the site as well. The most frustrating thing is that everything on the site was ready to go live and this happens.
I have tried changing the _user password through phpMyAdmin and yet not able to access the site I just get this administrator/index.php but no panel.
Would appreciate the support to solve this.
Thank you
Duane
Hi, Duane.
Thank you for contacting us.
I'm sorry to hear you have issue with the site... but how it's related with JomSocial?
HI, Duane.
You may have JomSocial installed - but that doesn't mean that JomSocial caused your site to break down.
Please:
1. Edit your first post.
2. Click switch below main text field:
prntscr.com/fk3hdg
3. Provide your site details: backend URL, admin credentials and FTP:
prntscr.com/fk3hwz
4. Let us know that you provided credentials by posting in the same thread.
I'll take a look.
HI, Duane.
Thank you but it seems that FTP credentials lead to EMPTY folder on your server.
I need to have access to file system.
Generally your issue looks like Joomla! issue.
Check folders and files permission - folder should have 755 while files 644.
Especially check "logs" folder.
Such a behavior could be also related with session misconfiguration in Joomla!
More likely this issue has no relation with JomSocial.
Hi, Michat,
Thank you for your response and I have changed the ftp so you have access to the main folder of the site, however the site was developed on the folder>testsite> which you can access there.
I have checked on the Joomla forums and I was told that it might be a Jomsocial issue so I am a little lost without a proper solution to my problem.
Thank you.
Hi, Duane.
Nope, still can reach only the same folder and can't go higher.
Could you link me that forum thread where it's said that it could be cused by JomSocial?
JomSocial do not control in any way the way admin is logged in, nor change any user credentials or session creation.
