Activation email not arriving but welcome email is

Hi - I have and issue with JS 4.4 in that when a new user registers they get the welcome email but they aren't receiving the activation one. I thought it might be going into their spam folder but they claim not.

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Are the two messages sent the same way?

Check if New User Account Activation is set to Self in:
Joomla Back-End/System/Global Configuration/
on left side change to Component/Users
find New User Account Activation

I have same issue, only noticed w GMAIL accts....sometimes they get the activation email, sometimes not. I tested this w my gmail account sometimes it sends and other times it does not. Makes no sense. Using resend activation link will send the activation email most of the time. Frustrating

Well, please provide us backend and FTP access into private info
1. Edit your first post.
2. Click switch below main text field: prntscr.com/fk3hdg
3. Provide your site details: backend URL, admin credentials and FTP: prntscr.com/fk3hwz
4. Let us know that you provided credentials by posting in the same thread.
