Just a heads up. I've been running cron jobs manually to get the message system updated after upgrading, but recieve the following error:
0 - Error decoding JSON data: Malformed UTF-8 characters, possibly incorrectly encoded
Not sure whats going on there?

Could I be thinking one of the messages have weird characters which could cause jomsocial not to recognise it and therefore crash?
