On both the frontend and backend of my site when accessing jomsocial it gives me a 500 error stating DateTimeZone::__construct(): Unknown or bad timezone ()
It only does this when going to jomsocial. Nothing else on the site is producing this error.

You are using old Joomla version, please you upgrade it to latest version and the upgrade Jomsocial component as well.

We are in the middle of the upgrade process however because of the size of the site this is not something we can simply do overnight. Is there nothing else we can do until we get the site upgraded to Joomla 3?
