ISSUE SUMMARY:
updating jomsocial getting stuck to 2nd process (i.e preparing database), please see this asap also it messed up with frontend of our website.

now getting this error : Fatal error: Cannot redeclare azrulSysBot() (previously declared in /home/fashi083/public_html/plugins/system/azrul.system/azrul.system.php:65) in /home/fashi083/public_html/plugins/system/jomsocial.system/jomsocial.system.php on line 97

Thank you for contacting us.
It's because you tried to upgrade JomSocial from 2.8 to latest version... but didn't followed our instructions.
Please, read this: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Upgrade...al_3.0.x_on_Joomla_3
Then make sure that you followed each step and removed files from your server as well.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

OK BUT before we are working with 4.2.5 jomsocial i dont know how it saying 2.8

I've checked JomSocial version in your extensions list.
Please, take a look.
Also your file system is old as it have old plugins.
Please, uninstall everything related with JomSocial and install latest version - make sure you also remove renamed folders in ROOT/plugins/system

NO, database will be untouched. But please, remember to do a safe copy first ;)

hi i did uninstall all plugin for jomsocial and remove old file from plugin/system, and reinstalled it again jomsocial 4.2.6 but still having same issue and the installation process keep getting in loop.

please suggest.
