ISSUE SUMMARY:
Its been long time already, im trying to do the video upload setting. As i know shared hosting is not allowed for upload video. So im upgrading my hosting to VPS to cater this function. and my hosting is DreamHost.
After following all the instruction from the website and also from ffmpeg site. im still unable to use upload video function.
Im a fan and die hard customer of Jomsocial and always renew my subsrciption with jomsocial. So if can, i need a favour from the team to help me to set up the installation. Its really appreciated.

Thank you for contacting us.
Please, contact with your hosting support and ask them for FFMPEG path and version.
I guess that path set in configuration is wrong or FFMPEG library is too old (they are most common issues with this feature).
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Already contacting the hosting company and they didnt give support on installing the ffmpeg.
[berzerker]$ ffmpeg version
ffmpeg version 0.8.17-4:0.8.17-0ubuntu0.12.04.2, Copyright (c) 2000-2014 the Libav developers
built on Apr 1 2016 14:24:20 with gcc 4.6.3
Oh...this is very old version (released over 3 years ago). Latest version is 3.2.
Please, ask your hosting support to update it as version that old won't work with JomSocial.
