On the registration page, where it says "Name" I would like to change it to "Name (this will not be visible to the public)"

Can you please provide me the location/path of the file where this is located so I can make changes to the text.

You may change nearly any word or sentence in JomSocial and find it easily using Joomla! Language Override:

Can you please just tell me where exactly the folder is with the registration and I will change it from there. If I try the language override thing that you responded with, when I type "NAME" is says no results found. Can you please just tell me specifically where I can find the text NAME and USERNAME from the registration page?

Changing text straight in the file is a bad idea as it will be overwritten during next upgrade and your changes will be lost.
That's why I suggested to use language override.
Try to create override for those constants:

COM_COMMUNITY_NAME = Name
COM_COMMUNITY_USERNAME = Username

I'm sorry but I don't understand.
Language override says "No results found" for the script you suggested. (See screenshot)
What I want is on the registration page:
Instead of NAME it would say: NAME (This will not be visible to the public)
and instead of USERNAME it will say: USERNAME (Will be visible to the public)
Is it possible for you do do this quick change or at least explain it very very specifically because i'm not having any success with the language override.

I'm sorry but you search in wrong place.
This search field apply to... already created override. It works the same as search field in articles. It looks only in existing articles.
Result is empty as such override doesn't exist. You need to create it.

Please, click green button "NEW" in upper left corner and create override using constants I provided.
