ISSUE SUMMARY:
No automatical update availlable.
It's a long time issue. There's no message reminding me that new version of Jomsocial is published.
Also, I've install iJoomla installer, and it has a list of all your extensions. It never save the license I filled (why?).
I'm not a new member, but unfortunately I don't know what my license is. It's definitely not something I have to keep in my mind. So everytime I have to come here to have a search. And the worst thing is, there's no such a word "license" you can find.
So, please make a fix, or I'll uninstall iJoomla installer components.
And, where is my license marked, please?

Thanks!

HI, Derek.

Thank you for contacting us.
This happens sometimes caused by unspecified reasons.
You're find your license number and file available to download here: www.jomsocial.com/component/digistore/licenses .
The best way to stay tuned with new version is to follow us on FB or read our Blog: www.jomsocial.com/blog

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hello,

Sadly it's not conveniet for billions Chinese to follow anybody on FB, we have an evil gov.
And also, very often, it's very very slow to open a page of your site. Yes, I think I've struggled more than 10 minutes to come here. And I haven't found any button to submit a new question.

Anyway, here's my problem:
I changed my host, cause the whole site was down someday. But now the Jomsocial doesn't work. The Ajax of the page laoding stops working, no message could be published, no comment could be added. I had a check and found something weird:
php.ini (you can find it on the backend of Joomla)
mysql.connect_timeout =600
But when I'm install the new version of JomSocial, it says mysql's connect_timeout is 10.

Could you please have a check for me?

I'm sorry for submit the new problem here but I'm totally lost cause that button is so hard to find.

Thanks!

HI, Derek.

So the best solution may be to follow our Blog and use RSS. We announce new version there as well.

If php.ini shows correctly then you may ignore that alert in JomSocial.

As for the main issue. Did you try with other template? E.g default Joomla! Protostar template.
