issues after upgrade

ISSUE SUMMARY:
We have migrated jomsocial 2.0 with joomla 1.5 to jomsocial 4.2.5 with joomla 3.6.4. All data showing properly in site backend. But after making

Activity Display Privacy:No and Yes also
privacy: public
but I am unable to show activities on site front end to public. It was working fine in joomla 1.5
please help.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:

RESULT :- no activity feeds are showing to public
EXPECTED RESULT :- need to show the activity feeds without login to public
BROWSER :- all

Thank you for contacting us.
First make sure that you allowed to display activity stream to guests here:
Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Layout -> Show Activity Stream -> SHOW
Then make sure that all posts are public:
Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Privacy set to public and save. Then click button "Reset existing user's privacy.".


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

We have applied all the step which you have mention in last reply .but we are still facing the issues. please help to resolved it. if you need then we will provide you ftp.

It seems that your database didn't migrated well. Activities table lacks some columns:

500 Unknown column 'verb' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO `#__community_activities` (`actor`,`target`,`title`,`content`,`app`,`cid`,`verb`,`created`,`access`,`params`,`points`,`comment_id`,`comment_type

You need to create column "verb" manually. Then try to add new post and check if it will be visible.
I noticed that currently there are no real posts but community notifications like "avatar upgrade" they won't be show for the public.
You need a real activity - but to add it you need to fix db first.

We have updated database fields .but we are still facing same issue. please help .

Please ignored the last reported issues as we have resolved it. now we are facing two issues on it now
1.On registration second step it is showing 500 error.
2. After login from front end its not showing my friends.

Please help on both the points.

Great that you've managed to fix db issue. I see that posts content uses our old code - that's why it displays {actor} in some places.
All new posts should be fine.

1. I enabled registration and all went fine: snag.gy/VXCvPa.jpg I can't replicate this issue. Do you mean regular registration or FB?

2. Could you elaborate about this one? You mean you don't see them in profile?

You still need to restore JomSocial Toolbar as without it you may experience navigation issues.
