There are two emails being sent when a user registers on JomSocial. First containing the user name and password, second contains the activation link.

I think having two emails is unnecessary and would like to disable the first email so users would only get one email with the confirmation link.

Does anyone know how to remove the first welcome email?

Go to Joomla backend, manage user->options, and set "Send Password" to No
