Hi,

I just purchased the professional package and following the instructions.

The wiki says,

"2. Click the Directory Permissions tab and make sure all folders are Writable."

I am using Joomla version, 3.6.2 so the menu is different than the Jomsocial wiki but I found it.

The only file unwritable was the configuration.php file so I went to look up how to make it writable, I know how using FTP and changing the file permission but then I thought to look here and I find a post that was about an update and the person said his configuration.php file was not writable and the reply to him was that he can still install no problem and that the file can remain as is and not affect the installation.

It has been 10 plus years since I worked with Joomla but not a complete novice.

What do I do? Leave configuration.php file as it or make it writable?

Thanks!

Wow, I am more rusty at this than I thought. I had trouble finding the Joomla installation. IS there any way some one can log in via FTP and make that change. I would really appreciate it. In the meantime I will keep looking.
