Drop down menu stops working

ISSUE SUMMARY:
When navigating teacher dashboard. drop down menu stops working
This issue seems to be caused by Guru. It loads some additional js scripts on that page that casues the


menu to stop working.

Thank you for contacting us and reporting this issue.
It seems it happens only at that page:
gallaghersmusic.net/members-and-student-...uthor/authorprofile/
And on the page the only additional js script that is loaded is: gallaghersmusic.net/components/com_guru/js/fileuploader.js
There are some errors in console.

I assign Guru developer to this thread.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Dear Robert,

I can't access the admin page, I am redirected to front-end. Please set this option - "Turn off jquery" to "Yes", from admin Guru General Settings page.
If this is not ok, please make sure that we can access admin pages and please make sure that ftp account access is ok.

Hi Robert,

I just tested, from Teacher pages and all seems to be ok, the site menu is ok for me. Please refresh your browser cache and let me know if this issue persist.

The problem is with the top menu (Yellow Members button, drop down does not work) It does not work in Firefox, Chrome or Safari. Clearing cache made no difference.

Hi Robert,

Please make sure that ftp account is ok, I tried to connect but this doesn't work. I tried to use eXplorer extension but seems that there are no rights for read/write files on your server.
Please provide us ftp access details, make sure that there are permissions for read/write files and I will debug this issue.

Hi Robert,

Please test now, I made some changes in this file - "/components/com_guru/views/guruauthor/tmpl/authorprofile.php" and now should be ok. All changes are custom changes and will not be added in the next version. Please make a back-up to this file before upgrade.
