I have been informed recently that there is a reproducible error on my registration page.
Every time a new visitor comes to our site, they are presented with an error (white page) when stepping through the registration process.

The error occurs after filling in the second tab, at: www.mysite.org/register/registerProfile?profileType=0

There seems to be no explanation for this error that I can find, After clicking through the first page, I receive an admin email to say the user has registered, however the account is locked and de-activated regardless of which activation option is selected none/self/administrator. There's no multiple profile type, and users who have active account have no issues logging in. only registrations are affected.

Can anyone shed some light....

Thanks for looking Albertus, I have found and resolved the error with ExtPlorer the extension is functional once again.
I have also resolved the ITLibrary error that is sorted, however the error that is displayed in the frontend registration process seems to be a redirection issue perhaps after the second part of the JomSocial registration form.

The halt seems to be upon the form attempting to assign the user to a specific profile type, however there is only the default members, with no additional multiple profiles.

File access is enabled in the backend, please use with caution, it's a live site currently without full backup.

Hi,

seem there is a plugin that related with ITLibrary, the plugin interupted jomsocial registration process at step 2.
to tackle the issue I edit:
/libraries/itprism/integrate/notification/socialcommunity.php around line 100
I changing the code

public function send($content = "")
{
    if (!empty($content)) {
        $this->content = $content;
    }

    $notification = new SocialCommunityNotification(JFactory::getDbo());

    $notification->setContent($this->content);
    $notification->setUserId($this->user_id);

    if (!empty($this->image)) {
        $notification->setImage($this->image);
    }

    if (!empty($this->url)) {
        $notification->setUrl($this->url);
    }

    $notification->store();
}
to
public function send($content = "")
{
    if (!empty($content)) {
        $this->content = $content;
    }

    if (class_exists('SocialCommunityNotification')) {

        $notification = new SocialCommunityNotification(JFactory::getDbo());

        $notification->setContent($this->content);
        $notification->setUserId($this->user_id);

        if (!empty($this->image)) {
            $notification->setImage($this->image);
        }

        if (!empty($this->url)) {
            $notification->setUrl($this->url);
        }

        $notification->store();
    } else {
        return false;
    }
}

so the issue not related with jomsocial. your site having "customization things" :)

ITPrism is the library that is used by 'Alphauserpoint' component, which was one of the recommended components advertised on your extensions page. It's a 'purchased' component that is intrinsically linked with JomSocial's points system on our site.

The www.alphaplug.com website for the component is no longer owned by Gilly who has sold it off to another company ( www.fanrewardsnetwork.com ) who provide NO support for the product and insist on a new subscription to their site, not honouring Gilly's existing support subscriptions. Therefore updates and support for this now integral and essential component is non existent, yet your company still list these extensions, which by the way most are not even compatible with Joomla v3.x let alone later versions of JomSocial and Joomla core.

Someone somewhere is still taking money for these out-dated components and extensions. When we the customer's are left high and dry by developers, where can we turn to for assistance, not forgetting we are on a very limited budget and have loyally subscribed to your support forum for help. quite often required for JomSocial.

In relation to the script alterations, were we not clear about alterations and what effects altering those components will have to the rest of the site's stability?

To suggest that it is merely a 'the third party' extension that is responsible, that would be a matter of opinion, because without updating the AlphaUserPoints component, ONLY updating JomSocial, has this issue arisen with AlphaUserPoints and the registration process. My conclusion, It was something to do with the JomSocial update! Surely?

I've marked this problem as NOT fixed as I have only just got online to test said alterations.

Don't get me wrong Albertus, I deeply thank you for looking into this. But as a small time lone developer, I hope you can see the frustrations this sort of thing can cause. all too often...

Hi,

ITPrism always executed even at joomla user sign-up. Regarding that error message, I need to add extra condition to that library.
because SocialCommunityNotification class not exist. jomsocial never use SocialCommunityNotification as class name.

nothing to fix at jomsocial code, the issue purely related with ITPrism library.

if you disaagree with my fix. please asking ITPrism "owner" about it :)
