ISSUE SUMMARY:
I am now almost on 4 Days testing all the possibilities followed your tuturials and other tutorials, and when browsing throw sistem files to try to get done something that should come out of the box (Removing group posts from frontpage wall and profile) i came out to this internal note on a line
//we haven't supported access level setting for toolbar menu yet.

$query .= ' AND a.' . $db->quoteName( 'access' ) . '<' . $db->Quote( 3 ) ;

}
Now how can we develop a joomla site with your menus????? I am getting tired of working 24/7 to try to solve problems that they are only coming from your component, i need everything swift running. I need to open profile(or any other jstoolbar menu) and click on language file and it should stay in same page and translate it! Your tutorials on this matter are very unclear and i am getting problems and in eminence of being sacked all cause of this component! I am just regretting now having spend my money on this comunnity component.

Back end - on dashboard layout - we have 54 members and it says 3 members.

If i change any setting it all gets dis formed.

I need assistance and everything working today. I am loosing money with all this unfortunately.

HI, Pedro.

Thank you for contacting us. I'm sorry to hear that you have issues with our extension.
Please, let me explain that note first.
By default JomSocial toolbar - that is used for component internal navigation - is displayed only for logged in users (Registered). Thus there was no need for full ACL support as this isn't a usual Joomla! menu.
Nevertheless we understand that have full control over display right is important so we're working to implement full Joomla! ACL support in our next version (4.3). Please, check our road map: www.jomsocial.com/features/road-map

Currently only SU can delete any posts from activity stream... Also in some cases, users may delete their own comments or posts.

I presume that you want to set a multilingual site with translation switch. Currently when you switch language being on profile you're redirected to home page. This is because certain page is not linked with it equivalent in other language. This is Joomla! default behavior for pages without menu item or not linked with other menu item. I'm really sorry but we can't do anything about it as this is how Joomla! works.

On dashboard are displayed only active members, that are members that have at least 1 user point. We want to display here a real number of active members of your community. Full members list is available at Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Monitor -> Members.

Please, could you elaborate about:

If i change any setting it all gets dis formed.[\quote]

I don't fully understand what is the issue here. Could you attach a printscreen?

We'll be happy to assist you in any issue that you report, please, provide us as much details as possible - this will make us easier to understand and provide accurate support.

Hi Michal, i understand that this how Joomla works! I know that it needs an id to be linked to another. As so thats why i have build menus in my site main navigation for both languages. 1st. You sell this product as a Joomla component right? So when you build your component you have to make sure that it follows joomlas procedures! I dont even mind having displayed your own internal jomsocial toolbar, but it has to follow joomlas rules aswell! When i bought this component was expecting it to work now! I need to find a solution now. Cant be waiting for a 4.3 that i dont even now when it is coming out. I know that even the most expensive car in the world its vulnerable to have failures, i m not presunptuous to the point of not understanding your dedication and efforts, but sorry i need more. Because in the end of the line its me who loses, money and clients. There are for sure uncomplete paths or well closed paths in the core files. Even if i create a simple menu title alias it simply just does not work.

As per the changing bits in the back end, for example if i chose not to display frontpage registration image, some links like simple posting do not work. If i chose not to show login field some other errors occur.

This is main issues thats why i suspect that or either installion file was not ok or either there are other erros. I have asked if can someone have a look please. I know that all of you get really busy but i think that everione counts and i m sure that with my problems others can have it solved faster.

I have being working 24/7 this is the 3rd day that i dont go to sleep. Because i cant afford to loose this client.

Thx

Hi, Pedro.

JomSocial toolbar uses Joomla! menu but never meant to be a menu in traditional meaning. Similar to Kunena Forum its used for a particular component for certain reason - internal navigation. So it won't behave like regular Joomla! menu. We've tried to explain it in our documentation. Please, read it here: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Toolbar_Explained

So in simple words: JomSocial toolber menu uses Joomla! menu component but is NOT a Joomla! menu. Thus some Jooomla! menu features won't work as it's not a "menu".

I understand your situation and that you become frustrated because issue. But please, be more accurate in describing your issues. provide us steps to replicate e.g:

1. Do this
2. Go there
3. Click this

Result is...

We need to cooperate in order to fix all of your issue - that's why we need accurate information.

Did you read that documentation? documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Complet...in_multilingual_mode
You should start with it as your goal is to set multilingual site so all need to be configured in right way.

Hi, Pedro.

This documentation explains how to do that: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Complet...in_multilingual_mode

F. Creating multilingual menu structure

Follow steps described here. After you created multilingual menus for JS pages you just need to link them in menu item configuration using Association.

Ok thx for reminding me the link. I Know how to create menus in joomla for translated laguages. I have followed 3 times this method. Firts off all, my Frontpage is not Jomsocial frontpage. Second. After all these work. Some pages work other dont. After having everything correctly set up, Sorry but this answer is almost the same as insulting me after i explained above that i have done everything by the book, groups in determined language menu dont open, links for some modules start triggering other pages in the site. well never mind might be better to go to pay pall and action the refund and use the money on a propper support and component....

Everithing linked checked nd recheked, and no one gives a damm or bother to check my site to see what actually is going on... i have 3000 members still to add in my site that we are transferring from facebook, and seems here that i am the dumb...

Hi, Pedro.

Please, there is no need to ask for refund yet. Our support is not 24/7 and we working in 8 hour shifts. I'm living in CEST and you posted after my shift ended. So I'm sorry for delay but according to our Support Policy we have 24 hours to answer.

I remind you our documentation because when I reviewed your site noticed that you didn't followed it. IT says very clear that correct order of menu items are VERY important. Please, take a look - this is your neutral menu:

i.prntscr.com/66987191eccf48ffb6c7724aabb76264.png
i.prntscr.com/570806ad4b894cc0ba57ee83f4b73ecc.png - Portuguese
i.prntscr.com/b1c8f276fd2b43b68cae34497288388c.png - English

So you created English FIRST, then Portuguese and Neutral at the end... where we write to create NEUTRAL FIRST:

Now, it may be that you'd like to have some menu items in site menu that links straight to certain JomSocial pages. In that case you'll need to create menu items that link direct to that page. BUT you must remember about "lowest menu item ID rule" so ALWAYS start with creating menu item in NEUTRAL menu. For example I'd like to create menu item that will link to profile page.

No one call you dumb - as I said, I understand your situation. Yes, this configuration is extremely complicated. I took me a while to create step by step instruction and test it (a while ago). So you have right to be at the threshold. But please cool your jets and take another approach with cool mind. It's easy to make mistake but I'm here to help you. I viewed your site at the first time as you posted. I repeatedly linked our documentation as saw that you missed some parts... my bad was that I didn't clearly pointed fail out.

I'm on forum till 4 PM CEST and will assist you further, now please try to recreate menu items in correct order - neutral first (lowest ID) then other languages. Please, disable Joomla! SEF for that time to have clear look at correct menu item IDs - they will be displayed at the end of URL - this will be a great help.
