hello we need to upgrade our jomsocial v. 4.1.6 to the latest version of the component

we also use another two components that are working with jomsocial : xipt jomsocial profile type and jfbconnect, what do you suggest to do to upgrade jomsocial? is better to upgrade it installing the package from the joomla backend installer or something else?

please go a head to upgrade your jomsocial to 4.2.2
you can using ijoomla installer or joomla way from joomla extensions manager
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/IJoomla_Installer_Installation

no need to uninstall anything. and about xipt jomsocial profile type and jfbconnect please contact those provider about jomsocial 4.2.2 compability.
