Install/Update from Previous to Latest, Stuck at Theme Update

ISSUE SUMMARY:

Hi Jomsocial, I've got 10 days left for free upgrades so I decided to update tonight. The Installation stops at the theme section during installation. I use 1&1 as my host so changing the PHP.ini is out of the question unfortunately. Is it timing out? Or is it permissions? I'm not entirely sure.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Use iJoomla
2 Click the button to update
3 Watch it try to update
4 It becomes stuck at the theme

BROWSER Firefox and Chrome both create this issue

I've checked upgrade process and it was interrupted by internal server error 500:

Ah, and you should don't worry that after your subscription expire you'll be cut out from support in this issue. Since it was reported BEFORE subscription expired we'll take care of it even after ;)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
