Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have both jomsocial and guru installed on the same server.
I have created a new student in guru in the back-end with 'other payment option'
the student is active/activated
can access the course
so this part works
I now login in the jomsocial backend and see there are 0 members
now i though that this new student is automatically made available in jomsocial (the initial ijoomla user is there but I didn't approve it) but the new student is not showing in jomsocial
I did install the guru plugins for jomsocial
the only jomsocial/guru plugins that I didn't activate are
- System - Jomsocial Redirect
- Guru Kunena Comments Plugin
- Payment Processor [Offline]
when I go through the front end I see that there are 3 members (incl me)
I have the following questions:
- is this not integrated to show the guru members in the jomsocial members section
- did I forget to activate a module/plugin so this will show there
- do I need to set a cron or other job to make this happen
I can't login to your site backend... but from what you write you mean taht 0 members are displayed in JomSocial dashboard :)
This number shows ONLY active members. That are members who have at least 1 user point.
Users with 0 user points are not counted here.
You may check that all is fine here: Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Monitor -> Members.
All should be there :)
So answers are:
- yes, it's integrated. Guru members = JomSocial members
- no, you don't need to activate anything there
- no, cron job is used for email processing, video converting and some automated functions as cleaning etc.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
