ISSUE SUMMARY:
We are making api for app development in php , for login page we require the password field in login table but that is encrypted in joomla format ,now we want to encrypt password in php so will you please gives us any suggestion for encrypting password in php
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Made the login form in angular js
2 using get method called the api file
3 taken input from App in API file
4 In Api by using sql query used the md5() to encrypt the password
5print result

I'm sorry but your request is out of scope of our technical support.
It rather apply to Joomla! than to JomSocial as all core features like password saving or registration is handled by Joomla!
JomSocial doesn't create, store or encrypt any passwords.
This is done by Joomla! core.
Password once provided is encrypted by MD5 and stored in Joomla! tables.
Once encrypted can't be decrypted.
