OVERRIDE folder not working after upgrading to JS 4.1.7
ISSUE SUMMARY:
In JS 3.1, I had an override folder set up, per JS documentation, to override the following two files:
/com_community/templates/default/frontpage.guest.php
/com_community/templates/default/images/guest-bg.jpg
The override (output) locations were;
/templates/MyTemplate/html/com_community/frontpage.guest.php
/templates/MyTemplate/html/com_community/images/guest-bg.jpg
Every thing worked fine and the "Get Connected" picture and message on the frontpage of JS were replaced with my customized ones. After upgrading to JS 4.1.7, - the overrides no longer work.
Also you hold JomSocial PRO so you don't have to fiddle any file in order to change frontpage cover. Just browse to Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Theme Designer -> General and change it there by uploading new cover.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Thanks for your reply. I'm glad to see the added feature in JS. This certainly helps with the image issue. I see an option to show/hide frontpage paragraph/message, - but not to customize it. I assume to do this I would need to do so via override, like I already had in JS 3.1. So, has /com_community/templates/default/frontpage.guest.php been 'deprecated' as well? Which folder/file do I need to access/reference in order to accomplish this?

Thanks for the informative tip about the Joomla feature. It's just what I need. I was not aware of it. Learning new stuff all the time, - too bad I didn't discover it before all the work before hand!
