Hi,
there is no issue with it. reset password belongs to joomla, jomsocial running under joomla
please make sure that user has been activated, you can see it from joomla users manager.
and please make sure the email not going to spam folder. for prevent this, please changing joomla mail settings from php mailer to SMTP
