ISSUE SUMMARY:
Installation is stuck on "updating theme"
I usually have problems to update JomSocial.
There is no easy way to do it manually

Do you think you could find a solution to my site so next time I could do a normal upgrade without having to look for you guys?

This issue is simliar with see the profile as guest on another topic, the error is :
A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"

but I dont know what happens, you should contact your sys-admin for inspect this further.

Actually, we never get the similiar issue before specially from updating theme.

Can you provide me cPanel access, please? maybe I can fix it by update manually.

The installation code cant execute the updating theme database, I still dont know what happens, but I decided to skip it, since we dont have any newest code on that section.

you just let us know if you have similiar issue

Is it happening during an update of Jomsocial or new installation? Please tell me the url, joomla panel access and ftp access.

During an update, this is where its stuck, but I see it has changed the look so far of my Joomsocial site.

Your admin panel has an extra security with htpass I do not have credentials for. Can You please include them as well?

Also please compare Your settings with requirements: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/JomSoci..._System_Requirements
From experience I know if the values in php.ini aren't high enough than the installation can stuck, because there is an error in the background that the limit of time for operation was exceeded.

Also what Jomsocial version are You upgrading it from ?
