Upgrades to latest JomSocial & Theme messes up content

ISSUE SUMMARY: I have Upgraded to University Theme 3.19 & JomSocial 4.16 Pro & now background images have disappeared.
JomSocial frontpage image does not show default image or the one I changed it to. Items on JomSocial frontpage are squished & do not display as seen in the documentation.


STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Installed latest versions of template & JomSocial onto localhost
2 Manually installed plugins from the theme file "rest"

RESULT: JomSocial does not display new frontpage image. Modules are squished
EXPECTED RESULT: Frontpage to look like demo
BROWSER Firefox, Microsoft Edge

Hi,

please contacting GK template provider for more support. they having CSS that override jomsocial CSS. here the CSS location:
/templates/gk_university/css/jomsocial.css
